Dave Matthews announced through social media that he’ll be performing an acoustic set on Sunday, Oct. 24 in Charlottesville, Va. for Headcount’s Get Out The Vote rally. The performance is completely free and will also welcome voting rights activists Stacey Abrams, Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee Harrison Jaime and former Governor of Virginia Terry McAuliffe.
The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is Oct. 22. In-person voting is ongoing until Oct. 30.
It was also recently announced that Dumpstaphunk will be opening for Dave Matthews Band at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13. The members of Dumpstaphunk aided Dave Matthews band when two of the founding members tested positive for COVID-19 and had to miss a few shows. Dumpstaphunk’s bassist Tony Hall is also a member of Dave Matthews & Friends.
