Billy Strings received the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” award at the 32nd annual IBMA Bluegrass Music awards presented by Yamaha. The awards show was hosted by The Infamous Stringdusters at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, N.C. on Sept. 30.

Other winners included Sister Sadie for “Vocal Group of the Year,”  Appalachian Road Show for “Best New Artist of the Year,” and Sierra Hull for “Mandolin Player of the Year.”

The awards were voted on by the professional members of the International Bluegrass Music Association.

The awards show was aired live on SiriusXM’s Bluegrass and live-streamed on IBMA’s Facebook, Swapcard, and Youtube.

Strings was not in attendance to receive the honor.
