My Morning Jacket are the latest band to tweak their tour dates due to a COVID-19 exposure.
The band’s Sept. 3 gig in Alpharetta, Ga. will now take place on Monday, Sept. 13.
“Though MMJ band and crew are fully vaccinated and following rigorous safety precautions, a member of our touring party tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week,” the group explained via social media. “He has minor symptoms and is expected to recover fully.”
This schedule alteration adds to MMJ’s recently canceled Bonnaroo set, which was scrapped due to onsite flooding.

Our show at Ameris Bank Amphitheater with Brittany Howard will now play on Monday, September 13. All tickets will be honored for this new date. Door and showtime remain the same.

September 2, 2021 at 2:24 pmSeems like there is a 99%+ chance of survival without medical interventions – just an unpleasant few days. The vaccine doesn’t seem to prevent 99% of all these “famous” musical people supposedly taking precautions better than the general public. Get it, get over it, get on with life already…

September 2, 2021 at 3:16 pmScience > “Seems”… or simply put, YOU ARE 100% INCORRECT with your assumption but continue to make assumptions with your head in the sand as there is no doubt the percentages are in your favor, that is true! It’s just that the FACT is that when the total count of whatever you are placing percentages on is astronomical, then even what sounds to the ear to be a small percentage is still a HUGE impact… or maybe you don’t believe in math either? It is simply another science so it may scare you as well…
