Next month, Foo Fighters will be crowned with the MTV VMAs first-ever “U.S. Global Icon Award.”
The group will be honored for their “unparalleled career and continued impact” as well as their influence which has “maintained a unique level of global success in music and beyond.”
The VMAs will take place on Sept. 12 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Foo Fighters will accept the award and perform.
The band released their tenth studio album – Medicine at Midnight – in February 2021.
