Over the last 24 hours, Phish have updated their COVID-19 protocols for their upcoming tour dates, requiring “proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to when doors open for each show.”
This policy will begin with Phish’s Aug. 27-29 run at The Gorge, leaving this weekend’s shows in Atlantic City as their last with a hands-off approach to testing/vaccination.
Meanwhile, Phish played their final show at Hershey Park on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
The show’s notable moments included the Phish debut of Trey Anastasio’s solo cut “Lonely Trip” and a “You Sexy Thing” opener, giving fans a pang of nostalgia for when they first played the cut at their historic Baker’s Dozen run.
According to Phish.net, “You Sexy Thing” became a theme for the night, with elements appearing in the following “Wombat” (i.e. “You Sexy Wombat”).
Later, teases of “You Sexy Thing” reemerged in “Meat” and it made a full reappearance to close the first set, arriving amidst a “Maze” jam.
Even the show-closing “Chalk Dust Torture” had a dash of “You Sexy Thing.”

Starting with Phish’s shows at The Gorge, all ticket holders to Phish’s summer and fall tourdates* must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to when doors open for each show. Ticket holders using a negative test for entry will not need to get subsequent tests if they are attending multiple shows at the same venue.
Children under the age of 12 may attend the concert if they provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to when doors open.
