Citing “unforeseen circumstances,” Liz Phair has bowed out of her upcoming scheduled tour appearances with Alanis Morissette and Garbage. She will be replaced by Atlanta-born singer-songwriter Cat Power for the upcoming fall shows.

The tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Morissette’s seminal album Jagged Little Pill, begins Aug. 12 in Austin, Texas. The North American run is scheduled to hit Seattle, Kansas City and Nashville through its Oct. 6 finale in Los Angeles. Its second run is scheduled through Nov. 19 in the Philippines.

Wrote Phair on Twitter, “I’m incredibly disappointed as I was looking forward to seeing all your beautiful faces. Shoutout to Alanis, Garbage, and Cat Power, who I know will put on an incredible show. Hope to see you all soon!”
