Moon Taxi has announced via press release they will be adding two more acts to accompany them on their Silver Dream tour around the United States this August through the end of November.

The first of the new additions to the tour is Sparkle City Disco, a duo of DJs, and fellow Nashvillians that is known for spinning purely disco vinyl. They’ll be joining Moon Taxi on the road throughout the tour.

The second of the new acts announced, Illiterate Light, extolled as “a perfect addition to your summertime playlist” by NPR, will be joining Moon Taxi for their first show of the tour at the Iroquois Amphitheater, in Louisville, Ky. Additionally they’ll also be reuniting with Moon Taxi in November at The Eastern in Atlanta.

Moon Taxi released their sixth full-length album, Silver Dream in January of 2021. The Nashville-based band has amassed over 240 million total U.S. streams since they began releasing music in the late 2000s. The band said in a statement that they look forward to playing tracks off Silver Dream, including “Say,” “Hometown Heroes,” “Light Up,” “One Step Away” and “The Beginning,” as well as, tracks from their entire discography.

Also slated to join Moon Taxi on tour are Futurebirds, Olympic Music, and AFTM
