On Sept. 17, skilled guitar-man Eric Krasno will drop a brand new solo album, Always.

According to a press release, the pandemic-era LP promises “inimitable instrumentation, eloquent songcraft, and raw honesty.” To celebrate the announcement, Krasno shared the music video for the lead single “So Cold.”

“It’s about a relationship,” Krasno said of the single. “This girl takes out her anger on other people, and the guy is trying to get to the bottom of what’s wrong and why she’s so cold. You’re trying to leave dark things behind and move into a more positive place. It has a hopeful tone because I’ve gotten past it.”

In related news, Krasno debuted his new group, Eric Krasno and the Assembly in early June, supporting The Motet and Red Rocks.

Krasno previously said of his new band, “Eric Krasno and the Assembly brings together a group of musicians that are bandleaders in their own right, and together, we’re creating a brand new sound blending soulful vocals and deep grooves. The band consists of myself (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Otis McDonald (Bass, Vocals), Wil Blades (Organ, Keyboards), James VIII (Guitar, Vocals) and Curtis Kelley (Drums, Vocals).”
