Phil Lesh sat in with Midnight North once again at Canandaigua NY’s Lincoln Hill Farms on Friday night. The Grateful Dead bassist has joined Midnight North, the project fronted by his son Grahame Lesh, every night so far on their current spring tour.

On Friday, the elder Lesh emerged near the end of Midnight North’s set for the Grateful Dead-adopted “Viola Lee Blues.” He remained onstage for the Midnight North original “San Francisco Rain,”  Mississippi Fred McDowell’s “Keep Your Lamps Trimmed & Burning” and the Dead sing-along “Ripple.”
Midnight North’s tour will continue in Marshfield, MA this evening.
