Phil Lesh sat in with Midnight North at Charleston, SC’s Pour House last night. The Grateful Dead bassist joined the outfit–which features his son Grahame Lesh–for a portion of their early evening set on the venue’s outdoor deck set, including on “Viola Lee Blue.” The performance marked the elder Lesh’s first known show in the Charleston area since Furthur played the North Charleston Coliseum in April 2011.

The elder Lesh has been on the road with Midnight North this week and also sat in with the group for a few numbers in Nashville on Wednesday and in Asheville on Thursday. Midnight North’s tour will continue at Ardmore, PA’s Ardmore Music Hall on Wednesday, June 9.
