The NolaFunk Series during Jazz Fest will return for its 9th year. The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival will take place from Oct. 8-17, 2021, and as such, NolaFunk’s initial show will take place Oct. 8.

The newly announced show will feature the Allman Betts Band, Tab Benoit and Samantha Fish. The three artists will perform at The Fillmore in New Orleans on Jazz Fest’s opening day.

Jazz Fest itself was pushed to October from its typical April dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But organizers are excited to get the event back up and running.

“We are all ready to get together again and share that special spirit that lives at Jazz Fest,” said Quint Davis, Producer/Director of Jazz Fest (via press release.) “It’s taking longer than we want, but we’ll all have our celebration when the time comes. Your health, along with the health of our musicians, food and crafts vendors, and all of the folks that work to make the magic happen, remains the priority as we plan the return of Jazz Fest.”
