Bassist Karina Rykman is hitting the road with her namesake project in May, hitting venues in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and South Carolina.

“Beyond surreal to announce that I’M COMIN’ DOWN SOUTH IN MAY!” Rykman wrote alongside the announcement. “I’m overjoyed, to say the least, and my band is ready to tear it up. Tickets are on sale now! Words cannot express how stoked I am to play for you.”

The musician – who you may recognize from her time in Marco Benevento’s band – recently made headlines after a full-set collaboration with John Medeski and John Morgan Kimock.
