Willie Nelson and the people of Luck, Texas are appealing to President Biden and the American public, launching a petition to make April 20-29 the National “High Holidays.”
Naturally, the nine-day celebration will begin with the longtime marijuana holiday of 4/20 and end on Nelson’s birthday, 4/29. (It’s also worth noting that Nelson’s appeal is dated April 1, April Fools Day, but the spirit of the petition is valid nonetheless.)
Said the country legend via press release, “I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and a flower. God put it here. If He put it here and He wants it to grow, what gives the government the right to say that God is wrong?”
