On March 18, Tedeschi Trucks Band performed their fifth of six ‘Fireside Sessions’ livestreams. This week’s performance consisted of just Trucks and Tedeschi themselves.

The two began with a gorgeous rendition of the late Neal Casal’s “Day in the Sun.” They went on to perform several covers throughout the set, including Howlin’ Wolf’s “Meet Me in the Bottom,” Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne” and “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” by Bob Dylan. They closed out the set with “Somebody Pick Up My Pieces” by Willie Nelson.

Prior to the livestream, the band also announced a new date for their Wheels of Soul Tour show in New Have, Conn. at the Westville Music Bowl. The band will now perform at the new venue on July 17, 2021. Fans who have tickets for the previous date (July 18, 2020) can hold on to their tickets, as they will be valid at the new date. The band will perform with support from St. Paul and The Broken Bones and Gabe Dixon.

In the Facebook event for the new show date, the band noted that those who want to get their tickets refunded can do so at their point of purchase until June 21. Additional tickets are on sale now; click here to purchase.
