After teasing the announcement with a cryptic video earlier this week, Goose has announced a new studio record, Shenanigans Nite Club, due out June 4. In addition to the LP announcement, the band also shared the first single, “Spirit of the Dark Horse.”

“While we’ve been touring, the record has been happening in the background,” said guitarist and vocalist Rick Mitarotonda in a statement. “It’s been quite the process. At times, it was difficult. The record is a companion to those growing pains.”

The record features several Goose live show staples, such as “So Ready,” “Madhuvan” and “Flodown.” According to a press release, the album is “an ode to oft-forgotten vestiges of Goose’s musical journey, both personal and collective.”

“Our dream is to inspire people to step off the beaten path,” added Mitarotonda. “There are a lot of voices that tell you to play it safe. I think the coolest thing in the world is when someone breaks free and goes for whatever weird shit they dream of doing.”
