Phish will drop a new archival release a week from today, Jan. 29. The Phish Radio Twitter account announced the upcoming release, along with the news that Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro will announce the show’s date on Monday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. ET on SiriusXM.
Along with the announcement, the account included a sunflower emoji; there was also a sunflower in the accompanying graphic. The sunflower is the state flower of Kansas, leading fans to speculate that the new archival release will come from that state.
Phish has performed in Kansas eight times: during their Spring tours in 1992 and 1993, followed by Summer Tour shows in ’93, ’94, ’98, ’99, 2000 and ’03.
