On April 6, 1995, Widespread Panic appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien to promote their LP Ain’t Life Grand and perform the Bloodkin track “Can’t Get High.”
The clip arrives as the Athens, Ga. band has recently shared a slew of archival content, and this mid-’90s gem is certainly a must-see for Spreadheads.
Many will note guitarist Mikey Houser is standing, as this performance pre-dates the band’s 1996 “Sit and Ski” tour and his 1997 decision to permanently play all shows in his memorable seated position.
Additionally, WSP welcomes the brass section of O’Brien’s house band – the Max Weinberg 7 – for this performance.
