On Oct. 12, The Flaming Lips stopped by The Criterion to treat their hometown of Oklahoma City to a special socially distant concert, with both the band and the fans encapsulated in their own personal bubbles.

According to Setlist.fm the performance was brief, as the band played “Brother Eye” twice, and a similar double dip of “Assassins of Youth.” (Both tracks appear on The Flaming Lips’ American Head LP which was released in mid-September.)

Clearly, the gig was offered on the down-low, making fans wonder if the orb-filled outing was a pilot program, with the band preparing for something on a larger scale in the near future.

Frontman Wayne Coyne still managed to shared a few glimpses via his personal social media, though.
