To stoke excitement for The White Stripes’ forthcoming Greatest Hits collection, Jack White has unearthed an October 2003 performance by the duo, filmed live in Tokyo.
The clip showcases a fuzzy take on “Ball and Biscuit,” a track which will be featured on the 26-song compilation, out Dec. 4 via Third Man Records/Columbia.
“Filmed on camcorders, this was Jack White & Meg White’s third trip to Japan and second of a six-night run in the country on this tour which took place a few months after the release of their fourth studio album, Elephant,” reads an official description.
Additionally, Third Man Vault subscribers will have access to a third LP, offering “largely overlooked, previously scattered B-sides.”
