On Nov. 20, Neil Young will drop Archives Vol. II 1972-1976, a box set spanning a number of rarities and unreleased tracks over 10 discs.
In tota, the album will debut 12 unreleased songs from Young’s Harvest era, as well as 50 unheard arrangements of previously released material.
Young’s first archival volume was released in June of 2009 and encompassed the years of 1963-1972.
Young has said he has plans to release five volumes in total, with the last covering the 2000s.
“The rest will come out pretty quickly. While we’ve been working on volume II, we’ve been working on the other Volumes,” the rock legend has previously said.

September 22, 2020 at 5:48 pmMy favorite period of his musical career . To me no artist in the 70’s touched his huge amount of incredible music. With that said it’s fortunate he can go back to that period because the 21st century hasn’t been very kind to Ole’ Neil. His environmental and political involvement has basically caused his legend(and music) to fade immeasurably. Thanks to the 70’s and his ongoing Archives he will somehow stay in the discussion of how there was a time he was an incredibly gifted artist.
