Aug. 1-9 marks the Grateful Dead community’s annual observance of “The Days Between,” the stretch between Jerry Garcia’s birthday and anniversary of his passing.
As part of SiriusXM’s The Days Between programming, Dead & Company guitarist John Mayer will take to the airwaves as a guest DJ on Aug. 1 “hand picking his nine favorite, live Grateful Dead tracks and giving exclusive commentary. Listeners will hear songs including ‘China Cat Sunflower’ and ‘Jack Straw,’ as well as the specific version of the song ‘Althea’ that turned Mayer on to the Grateful Dead and inspired him to play their songs on his guitar.”
You can tune in to Mayer’s appearance on SiriusXM’s Grateful Dead Channel (channel 23) on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 3:00 p.m. ET, followed by rebroadcasts on Sunday, August 2 at 9:00 a.m. ET; Monday, August 3 at 12:00 a.m. ET; Tuesday, August 4 at 9:00 a.m. ET and Wednesday, August 5 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

July 29, 2020 at 2:09 pmWow, this has been posted for a few hours. Where’s the open flood gates from Nick thah Dinky (pz), or even him overtaking my handle with all the Johnny-bashing?
(Maybe Nicky’s still asleep in parents’ basement, after a long night of video games, free teen porn, and a suitcase of Schlitz-Lite.)
