Over the weekend, Phil and Grahame Lesh, Stu Allen and Jason Crosby performed a slew of Grateful Dead tunes from Lesh’s rooftop in the Bay Area of California.
Grahame Lesh and Allen were set to perform two shows at Terrapin Crossroads this past weekend, one a tribute to Workingman’s Dead and the other a celebration of the Festival Express film. However, after a Crossroads employee reported having a fever, the venue rescheduled the shows to July and decided not to open.
In lieu of these shows, the quartet took to the rooftop and delivered performances of many Grateful Dead favorites, including “Franklin’s Tower,” “Ship Of Fools,” “Bird Song,” “Playing In The Band,” “U.S. Blues” and many more. The entire performance was streamed live on the Terrapin Crossroads Facebook page.
