Dave Matthews Band has announced that their entire 2020 summer tour will be moved to summer 2021. The decision was made out of caution regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with moving the dates, the band also announced additional 2021 dates that were not part of the 2020 tour.

The new dates for the tour include gigs in Toronto, Ontario and Camden, N.J. in late June, a performance in Tampa, Fla. in late July, a pair of Texas shows in mid September, stops in Missouri and Kansas in late September and two concerts in Denver at the start of October. (Details below.)

“We are disappointed to announce, that in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we will be moving all of our 2020 summer dates to the summer of 2021,” wrote the band in a statement. “We make this decision with the health, safety, and well-being of our fans, touring crew, and venue staff as our priority.

“Your previously purchased tickets will be honored for these rescheduled performances, and we’re happy to announce that the 2021 tour includes a few additional stops that were not included on the 2020 tour,” continued the statement. “We are also providing fans with the option to refund your tickets at the point of purchase.”

“We are incredibly grateful for all of our fans who come out to see us every summer and will miss seeing you all,” the band concluded. “For now, we will keep everyone in our hearts and minds until we can be together again.”

In addition to the tour announcement, Dave Matthews Band also announced a new weekly broadcast series, dubbed ‘DMB Drive-In.’ “Starting this Wednesday, tune in each week at 8pm ET for a full live show from the band’s archive,” read the band’s announcement post. “This week’s inaugural stream will be a show from last summer’s tour—June 29, 2019 at the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in Noblesville, IN.” The band will also spotlight a charity each week; the first organization will be World Central Kitchen.
