On Sunday, May 3, Preservation Hall director Ben Jaffe will revisit the historic Nov. 6, 2016 “Jam The Vote” show at The Capitol Theatre for FANS’ free “That Show Was Epic.”

Along with Relix associate editor Raffaela Kenny-Cincotta, Jaffe will share live commentary of the star-studded event, including his own “Once in a Lifetime Houseband,” featuring members of Preservation Hall Jazz Band and The Blind Boys of Alabama. The night also showcased special guests like Win Butler (Arcade Fire), Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe & Magnetic Zeros), Amayo (Antibalas), Amy Helm, Andy Falco (Infamous Stringdusters), Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), DJ Logic, Eugene Hutz (Gogol Bordello), Eric Krasno, George Porter Jr. (The Meters), Irma Thomas, and many, many more.

“What kind of world do we want to live in? I want to live in a world filled with more compassion and understanding, love and respect…that is something universal,” Jaffe explains. “Showing unity through our voice, our music, is the most powerful tool we, as artists, have. This concert resonates loudly.”

Jaffe will also answer fan questions.
