Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Thile, Stuart Duncan and Edgar Meyer have announced a new album Not Our First Goat Rodeo, due out May 1. The album is a follow-up to the group’s Grammy-award-winning 2011 effort The Goat Rodeo Sessions.

According to a press release, “both sets ofGoat Rodeo sessions combine the talents of the four solo artists, each a Grammy-award-winning talent in his own right, to create a singular sound that’s part composed, part improvised, and uniquely American.” Additionally, “both the first album and the new recording also feature the voice and artistry of singer-songwriter and fellow Grammy-award-winner Aoife O’Donovan, who rejoins the group as a guest on Not Our First Goat Rodeo.”

Along with the album announcement, the group also released a video for a single off the record, “Scarcely Cricket.” Additionally, they announced a tour following the album’s release, beginning with a set of dates in August and a second set in October.
