New York’s one-day Brooklyn Comes Festival has been officially postponed due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19, better known as coronavirus.

“We have been working tirelessly to come up with a solution, as the health and safety of our attendees, the artists on the lineup, and the general public is our primary concern. Until today, we had maintained hope that we could figure out a way to make it work, but with the newly instated ban on mass gatherings in the state of New York, we are unable to move forward with the event as planned,” reads an official announcement by festival organizers.

The event will be moved to a date that will be announced in the near future.

This year marked the first time BCA was confined to a single venue – Avant Gardner – and its lineup showcased a star-studded Oteil & Friends set, a special Turkuaz set and a “Birds of a Feather” performance bringing together members of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Goose.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Brooklyn Comes Alive has been postponed.

We have been working tirelessly to come up with a solution, as the health and safety of our attendees, the artists on the lineup, and the general public is our primary concern. Until today, we had maintained hope that we could figure out a way to make it work, but with the newly instated ban on mass gatherings in the state of New York, we are unable to move forward with the event as planned.

We know that this is upsetting and that many of you were traveling in from all over to attend. We are just as disappointed as you are, but Brooklyn Comes Alive is not going anywhere—we’ll be back before you know it.

We are currently working with the artists and Avant Gardner to figure out a rescheduled date. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these unprecedented waters and will have more information for you soon.
