On Aug. 14, Jim James will continue his partnership with conductor Teddy Abrams by performing at Oregon’s Britt Music and Arts Festival with the Britt Festival Orchestra.

James, Abrams and company will perform cuts off The Order of Nature their collaborative 2019 LP, which initially featured the Lousiville Orchestra.

“The core idea to me is trying to reflect on the fact that nature doesn’t know how to hate,” James previously said of the project.  “Humans are part of nature obviously, but why do we have this thing called hatred and how do we get rid of it? We’re fighting nature and thinking we can prevail over nature, but we’re killing each other and killing the planet.”

Tickets for the Oregon event are available now at Brittfest.org.
