Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger has released his first record with Ali Baba’s Tahini since 2010.

The album, titled Bottom Feeders, is available on streaming services. It will also be the first Ali Baba’s Tahini record available on vinyl. Long-time Umphrey’s Mcgee collaborator Karl Engelmann contributed songwriting on the album. Drummer Steve Krojo and keyboardist Justin Powell are also featured on the record.

“We started the sessions [at Cinninger’s Boondock Studio in Niles, Mich.] on one of the coldest and snowiest weeks of the winter in January of 2018,” said Engelmann (via press release). “The songs that we recorded ended up being the ones that fit the mood of the studio environment, more or less snowed in but insulated which things still, dark, quiet, and cozy.”

Bottom Feeders is available to stream and purchase digitally or on vinyl here.
