Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band closed their 2019 tour at LA’s Greek Theatre on Sunday September 1, with a little help from their friends.
The current All Starr Band lineup boasts Steve Lukather (Toto), Colin Hay (Men at Work) and Gregg Rolie (Santana/Journey) as well as additional instrumentalists Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and Hamish Stuart.
For the band’s final tune of the evening, original All Starr Band members Joe Walsh and Nils Lofgren, plus additional friends Edgar Winter, Jim Keltner, Richard Page and Eric Carmen joined the party for a fitting version of “With A Little Help From My Friends.”
Interestingly, this September marked the 30th anniversary of Starr’s first tour with his rotating All-Starr band.

September 3, 2019 at 2:29 pmWish I saw the tour with Dr John, Billy Preston, Joe Walsh, Claremce Clemons, amd 3 The Band members. It’s a great CD. Lots of great players no longer with us. Glad Ringo and Paul still are. Paul still puts on a great show
