The Strokes have announced they will be ringing in the new year this winter with a hometown NYC show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, returning to the city after being forced to cancel their headlining slot at this past spring’s Governors Ball.

“People wanted us to play a show in NY. So we thought o.k.,” the band’s social media announcement reads. In an attempt to make amends with fans who were rained out of their previous attempt at a 2019 NYC show, The Strokes and Gov Ball are offering three-day and Sunday pass holders from the festival access to early ticket sales, starting tomorrow, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. ET through Aug. 8 at 10 p.m. ET.

Strokes fan-club members and American Express card members also have access to a pre-sale in the same time frame prior to general ticket sales, which begin this Friday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. ET via LiveNation.

Next up for The Strokes is a set at Electric Picnic in Ireland at the end of this month. The group is also set to play California’s Ohana Music Festival next month and festivals in Mexico and Peru in November.
