After dusting off some Grateful Dead covers for night one, Widespread Panic continued their run at Florida’s St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday night, playing their first version of JJ Cale’s “Cocaine” in almost six years.

The band’s first set clocked in at a little under an hour, and opened with a sandwiched “Good People”> “Dark Bar”> “Good People jam.

Live staples like “Space Wrangler” and “I’m Not Alone” punctuated the songlist, before the first set ended with “Imitation Leather Shoes.”

For the second half, WSP kicked things into overdrive, starting with fan favorite “Rebirtha,” before offering a nice “Disco”> “Ride Me High”> “Sharon” sequence. (The “Ride Me High” was complete with teases of The Door’s “Riders On The Storm.)

After closing out with another three-part jam (“Machine”> “Radio Child”> “Barstools and Dreamers”), Widespread Panic saved their biggest surprises for the encore.

“Can’t Get High” started things off, and continuing the theme of inebriation WSP offered the aforementioned “Cocaine” cover, their first since the band’s NOLA Halloween show in 2013 (show gap 325). Finally, before Widespread Panic band bid the crowd farewell they played Joe Cocker’s “High Time We Went.”
