To make this year’s Camp Bisco particularly memorable, the Disco Biscuits will welcome original drummer Sam Altman for a special stand-alone set on Saturday, July 20.

“The Disco Biscuits and our fans have come to cherish the day set at Camp Bisco,” the band wrote in an official announcement. “Over the years we’ve done all sorts of special things during the day set, but perhaps none as unique and special as what we are planning this year: The Disco Biscuits will expand to a 5 piece band for one set only, welcoming back original drummer Sam Altman to play alongside Allen [Aucoin]! The Professor and the Robot! Together at last! Please come join us for what is definitely going to be an afternoon to remember.”

Altman initially left the Disco Biscuits in 2005, but has remained in the band’s orbit. He stepped in for a sick Aucoin for a single show during their 2010 New Year’s run at NYC’s Terminal 5, subbed on guitar for Jon Gutwillig in 2010 for a few songs at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl and joined the band for a surprise sit-in as recently as May 2017 in Portland, Maine, among other shows. He also performed with members of his former band at Disc Jam in June as part of John Kadlecik’s West Philly Fadeaway.
