As some fans may know, Dave Matthews first broke into the board game business in 2017 with his “farm-to-table” offering Chickapig.
Like Chickapig, Matthews’ newest game venture was made in partnership with Rockbridge Guitars co-founder Brian Calhoun. According to a press release, 25 Outlaws is essentially three-card poker, but with a “fun, Wild West twist.”
“It’s a rough-and-tumble game, designed for ages 17+, set in the Old West, with outlaws (players) using every means available to eliminate rival outlaw gangs,” reads the description. “With duels, bank robberies and more, 25 Outlaws is bringing new meaning to the term “high stakes.”
Matthews drew all the art for 25 Outlaws while on tour with Dave Matthews Band, from poker chips to cards to special promotional merchandise.
“High stakes poker, dueling outlaws, bank robberies, and the Wild Wild West. This is seriously the best game I’ve ever played,” Matthews said via press release.
25 Outlaws will be available exclusively at Target beginning June 23, 2019.
