Despite incliment weather, Umphrey’s McGee took advantage of their time at Summer Camp Music Festival this weekend, performing Anchor Drops in its entirety and even debuting a new original.

On Friday, May 24, UM offered two full sets, starting with “Bad Friday” and even jamming Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” with guest horns from Here Come the Mummies.

Later, the band nodded to their recent vinyl reissue of 2004’s Anchor Drops by playing the entire LP in order, including their first Bullhead City since May 2016. (That tune also featured Southern Avenue singer Tierinii Jackson on vocals.)

The next night, Umphrey’s McGee were clearly primed to play a big show, offering a brand new original – dubbed “Unsung Hero” – right out of the gate. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans. The band managed to perform a half dozen tunes, and close with fan favorite “Puppet String” before the stage was shut down.
