The Tom Petty estate has released a new music video for the late singer’s ballad “For Real.”

According to Petty’s daughter Adria, who directed the video, combing through her father’s endless archival photos and videos was incredibly emotional.

“I was crying my eyes out every night during the edit,” she told Rolling Stone. She goes on to say that while “For Real” was written in 2000, it was never officially released. It now appears on the comprehensive The Best of Everything release which chronicles much of Petty’s songwriting.

“[This song] really stood out as something pretty profound, sort of from the grave, right? Just a real assessment of his strange reality of being a living legend,” Adria continued. “It touches on the things my dad believed in, his core values, like being authentic and not just being part of the pastiche of pop culture.”
