Willie Nelson has announced he will release a new studio album, Ride Me Back Home, June 21 via Legacy Recordings, following up his 2018 effort, Last Man Standing.

The new record is being billed as the third in a trio of Nelson albums ruminating on mortality, which started with 2017’s God’s Problem Child. Ride Me Back Home was recorded with Nelson’s longtime friend and producer Buddy Cannon, who has been involved in the legendary songwriter’s last dozen albums.

Nelson has also shared the title track from the new album, which can be heard below. The song was written by Sonny Throckmorton, a neighbor of Nelson’s Luck studio in Texas who penned the tune after observing the 60-plus horses that roam Nelson’s ranch.
