The Black Keys’ ninth studio album – dubbed “Let’s Rock” – will officially be released on June 28 via Easy Eye Sound/Nonesuch Records.

The announcement comes on the heels of the band’s single “Lo/Hi” and the accompanying “Let’s Rock” arena tour, which will take The Black Keys to massive stages across the United States.

And while the duo’s most recent LP Turn Blue dates back to 2014, both guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney have kept busy with other projects.

“When we’re together we are The Black Keys, that’s where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen,” Auerbach explained via press release.

“Let’s Rock” was recorded at Auerbach’s own Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville. “The record is like a homage to electric guitar,” Carney said. “We took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to.”
