The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been in limbo, since headliner The Rolling Stones announced they would be cancelling their “No Filter” tour on March 30.
Today, the festival has announced they have found a replacement: Fleetwood Mac.
After a highly-publicized split with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, the current Fleetwood Mac lineup consists of Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie, as well as new additions Mike Campbell, former guitarist for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Neil Finn, frontman of Crowded House.
The band has been touring incessantly as of late, celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2018. Coincidentally, Jazz Fest is also feeling celebratory, celebrating their 50th year in 2019.
Moving swiftly with the new announcement, Jazz Fest has already updated their schedule for May 2 – the original day The Stones were to perform – with Fleetwood Mac hitting the Acura main stage at 5 p.m. However, unlike with the original Stones show, there will be other music on the festival’s other stages during Fleetwood Mac.
Tickets and more information can be found at www.nojazzfest.com and www.ticketmaster.com.

April 6, 2019 at 1:10 pmThey jacked up the price for that day because of the Stones. Glad I bought tix for Jacksonville and not this bullshit (live between Jax and NOrleans). Going the first weekend of Jazzfest at $70 per day including Van Morrison. Saw FMac about five years ago best part of show was Lindsey Buckinghams guitar playing. Even then, nowhere near the legendary Rolling Stones . Hope to see Mick, Keef, and the rest in July.
