The Rolling Stones have announced that they will release another “best of” compilation, dubbed Honk, on April 19, and the band has also shared a live track of them playing their classic tune “Wild Horses” with Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine, from a London show the Stones played in May 2018.
Honk draws from all of the legendary rockers’ albums up to 2016’s Blue & Lonesome and features hits like “Brown Sugar,” “Tumbling Dice,” “Angie,” “Miss You” and “Start Me Up.” The collection will be available in two versions, a 36-track, 3-CD/4-LP deluxe release and a pared-down, 20-track, 1-CD/2-LP offering.
The third disc of the 3-CD package features 10 live tracks from the Stones’ recent tours, including the “Wild Horses” with Welch (which can be heard below), a “Dead Flowers” with Brad Paisley, “Bitch” with Dave Grohl and more.
Pre-orders and more information can be found at the band’s website.

March 18, 2019 at 5:22 pmIan seriously man I started going to GD shows in 1987 probably before you were born. Got every vinyl release made so far, including hard to find Dicks Picks and numbered box sets. How is Miss You on Honk any different than Some Girls, 40 licks, Sucking In 70s, etc… Now live yeah different versions can be great. Totally Stripped is excellent. I would love a live version of Worried About You. Can’t believe I’m agreeing with Jagerrich about anything but they don’t mix sets up enough within a tour. But since I haven’t spent the $ to see them since Steel Wheels Tour in DC with Living Colour opening (remember those guys) still looking forward to seeing them in April, just not buying this.

March 16, 2019 at 11:58 amNo, actually GG, I am going to wholeheartedly AGREE with you. You are dead correct. I am biggest Stones fan, but rightly so have been ‘mad’ at them for years now. No question into making cash and lots of it which is fine. I agree though that that in short: they continually cater to the masses, the ‘dumb run-of-the-mill-Stones fans’ by repeating and repeating greatest hits lists for sale with the same old tired warhorses. ditto their setlists, which is why I go to one or two a shows a tour now, and not 4 or 6. six-pack: Brown Sugar, JJ Flash, Start Me up, IORR, Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Women, Miss You etc. You’d think they only had 25 possible songs to play in total. back to this honk: so predictable, and most of their best of the 70’s > forward is left off of it. I would like the live stuff, too, but wouldn’t, couldn’t buy this for that.

March 15, 2019 at 5:27 pmDamn those guys are some scheisters…so many compilations it is absurd. I would buy the live stuff alone on vinyl or CD but not paying again for songs I already have multiple versions on both. Anyway looking forward to Jacksonville show. Jaggerbitch can buy this I’m passing,
