After rumors circulated about Michael Lang’s 50th anniversary celebration of Woodstock, which is set for Aug. 16–18 in Watkins Glen, NY, having monetary issues, a new report from Billboard confirms that Lang and festival organizers have sent out payments. Billboard also reports that the celebratory gathering will feature music from Dead & Company, Santana (who is also playing that weekend at the original Woodstock location at Bethel Woods), The Killers, Chance the Rapper and Imagine Dragons.
The reported lineup inclusions are part of a list of over 80 artists, with full details expected in the next couple of weeks, according to Lang himself.
“There’s always been lots of rumors around Woodstock,” Lang tells Billboard. “We have excellent partners and an incredible talent lineup… We’re preparing a once in a lifetime event.”

March 8, 2019 at 12:06 pm7/19/2013 Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, Canandaigua, NY
I: Jack Straw, Dupree’s Diamond Blues, My Brother Esau, Mason’s Children, Mission in the Rain, Box of Rain
II: Playin in the Band > Any Road, Mountains of the Moon, Caution
It was great, but if you look at it, only 6 song first set on top of the long set break, and screwed in the second. One of only 8 Missions Furthur did, purty cool.

March 7, 2019 at 2:42 pmNice: ‘REMEMBER” X’s 2!!! i) Funny, and ii) i was there probably right beside you, I was about 5th row stage Left, good show, good vibes, but then I agree with you, the venue cut us short big time. Hour long set-break decision from the boys (and Sunshine Becker, lol) didn’t look good on them. i guess they were hoping to wait it out. Same thing happened to me in Buffalo two summers ago @ canalside (wicked simple venue) with Dark Star Orchestra. The difference: They came back on about 45 mins later and finished what was three quarters of the set II. Re: the Furthur show you spoke of: i remember Bob’s last words were: “If we keep on playing, theyre gonna pull the plug.” Shitty
REMEMBER FURTHUR FINGER LAKES 2013
March 8, 2019 at 8:56 amRight you are Mr. JAGGERRICH 7-19-13, epic but too short 10 song show, Mission was amazing, going to give a re-listen to the entire show today. I remember someone knocking down the folding chairs around us to make room for girls to dance, was that you? Great idea. Drove 8 hours to get there and misplaced the tickets but Elvis at GTDSTOO had them reprinted at the box office for us – I sent him a thank you gift. Those were the days…
REMEMBER FURTHUR FINGER LAKES 2013
March 7, 2019 at 2:30 pmGreat set list (except for the waste of D&S)!
Was 5th row(covered) for 6 of these GREAT songs in the light rain July 2013 nearby in Canandaigua, NY when they took an 1+ hour long setbreak despite threatening thunderstorm and called it off 10 minutes into set 2. Nobody plays in the rain anymore…

March 7, 2019 at 12:02 pmRead the article. Conditions seem ripe for a massive clusterfuck. The original WS generation really going to camp out for 3 days in their 70’s? They’ll have to skew the music much younger to fill the campgrounds. Payment 6 months is advance? Best come up with some better blockbuster acts than Dead & Slow as a headliner

March 6, 2019 at 5:42 pmOther than Santana that lineup sounds horrible. Carlos was great in Jacksonville with Dark Trucks sitting. Woodstock 94 and 99 were disasters but at least they had good lineups.
