On Friday, April 26, New Orleans favorites Dumpstaphunk will present DumpstaFly – a late-night tribute show to Curtis Mayfield and The Isley Brothers.

The performance falls on the first day of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the show will open with a performance by The Motown Getdown, a star-studded supergroup that features Kim Dawson (Pimps of Joytime), Lyle Divinsky, Nate Edgar (Nth Power), Nick Cassarino (Nth Power), Mike Dillon, Khris Royal, Ryan Jalbert, Nikki Glaspie (Nth Power), Adam Smirnoff (Lettuce), Glen Hall (Rebirth Brass Band) and Casey Russel (Magic Beans).

Special guests include “Big Sam” Williams, George Gekas of The Revivalists, Bill Daniel of Naughty Professor and Jelly Joseph of Tank & The Bangas.

Before DumpstaFly, Raw Deal will also perform, featuring members of Naughty Professor performing songs from Earth, Wind, & Fire’s repertoire.

DumpstaFly are set to hit the stage at Midnight. The following week, on Thursday, May 2, the band will play a straightforward Dumpstaphunk set on the Jazz Fest main stage.
