George Clinton previously noted that 2019 would be his final year of touring with his iconic funk outfit Parliament Funkadelic, and now a new batch of “One Nation Under a Groove” tour dates have been confirmed.

The tour kicks off May 30 in Milwaukee with Galactic, Fishbone and Miss Velvet & The Blue Wolf. Galactic will only be with P-Funk in the Midwest, with fellow New Orleans group Dumpstaphunk replacing the group starting June 4 in New York. The bands will also hit venues in Boston and Philadelphia in June before picking up again in early August on the West Coast with stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver and more. The final scheduled date is August 18 at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.  See the schedule below. Tickets will be available for most of the shows starting this Friday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m.

“It’s always been about the music and the band,” says Clinton of P-Funk, which includes members that have been with the bandleader for over three decades, along with younger members. “That’s the real P-Funk legacy. They’ll still be funkin’ long after I stop.”

Clinton and P-Funk are supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers during their Australian tour this month and next, and will also play a smattering of spring and summer dates around the One Nation Under a Groove tour schedule in the US, Japan and Australia. See the band’s 2019 schedule here.
