After posting last week about his recent studio collaborations with John Mayer and Bob Weir, Ryan Adams has made good on his promise to release the first official single from his upcoming album Big Colors today with a new track called “Fuck the Rain,” which features some guitar work from Mayer.
“Check out this song it’s cool. Or don’t- we all might die trump is president. I love you, sincerely Ryan Adams,” Adams reports in a press release for the pensive single. The singer-songwriter will release Big Colors, his first of three planned albums in 2019, on April 19 via Blue Note and Adams’ own PaxAm. The record was co-produced with Beatriz Artola and also features guests like Mayer, Bob Mould, former Heartbreakers’ member Benmont Tench, Don Was and The Section Quartet.
