Mike Vallely’s Street Plant skateboard company has released its second Jerry Garcia-inspired deck featuring the Grateful Dead guitarist’s famous tiger insignia.
Modeled after Garcia’s late-era guitar (played between ’79-’95), the deck comes in two sizes: a wider “old school” version, and a more modern “popsicle” shape.
Previously, Street Plant released a “Wolf” skateboard, inspired by another one of Garcia’s famous instruments.
“My Reverence for Jerry Gracia is without end,” Street Plant founder and pro-skateboarder Vallely wrote on Instagram. “I find Wholeness, Harmony, Freedom, and Radiance in His Music, Filling me with Optimism, Love, and Hope…Working with the Garcia Family via Street Plant to Present the First-Ever Jerry Garcia Skateboards and accessories is a True Honor, and it brings my Family and I Great Joy! Where Music and Skateboarding intersect, there is my Heart, and Jerry’s Music is Playing.”
Street Plant’s Garcia Tiger boards are now available. Click here to purchase.

For a change, that is not a Jambands typo. The guy really did misspell Garcia on his Instagram. Unreal.

October 4, 2018 at 1:09 pmOh please. NOTHING about Mike Vallely radiates “Optimism, Love, and Hope…” “Hope” for a big payday with these decks, perhaps. Otherwise, this is as phony as the day is long. MAYBE if Tony Hawk were pedaling these, and that’s a stretch, but this violent meathead? Nuh-uh..
