Neil Young took over the Capitol Theatre on Wednesday night, playing a single set of old favorites as well as a new tune dubbed “Eternity” for the sold-out crowd.

Backed by Promise of the Real, Young kicked the night off with his 1982 Trans track “Like an Inca,” followed by “Tell Me Why,” “Field of Opportunity” and his classic “Heart of Gold.”

Later, Young busted out “Eternity” for the second time ever; it was previously debuted in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Afterwards, Young + Promise of the Real dug into “Words (Between the Lines of Age)” off his seminal LP Harvest, as well as “Winterlong,” “Unknown Legend” and “Harvest Moon.”

With an ecstatic audience booming through the venue, Young closed his single set with a triple-threat of “Cortez the Killer,” “Cinnamon Girl” and his political anthem “Rockin’ in the Free World.”

He encored with “Roll Another Number (For the Road),” and will return to the Capitol Theatre stage on Thursday night.
