The Zappa Family Trust, the organization that handles the music and estate of Frank Zappa, is planning a tour featuring a hologram of the late rock icon along with some of his friends and collaborators.

The trust is working with Eyellusion for the tour, which will include guests like Steve Vai, Adrian Belew and Ian Underwood, Arthur Barrow, Vinnie Colaiuta and more, and is set to kick off late this year. In a press release, Ahmet Zappa, who also announced he is joining Eyellusion to lead their global business development, mentioned his wish that members of the family would also join the tour:

How radical would it be to have Moon singing “Valley Girl” onstage with Frank? Or to see Dweezil side by side with our father playing dueling guitar solos? That would be my greatest wish and I look forward to bringing this special celebration of Frank’s legacy to a town near you.

The Zappa family has been in the news for a public feud between Dweezil and those members involved in the family trust, specifically Ahmet, as Dweezil claims he has been repeatedly told to stop using the Zappa name in his Zappa Plays Zappa tours.

The Zappa Family Trust is also planning a musical production of Frank’s 1979 rock opera Joe’s Garage. The show will also feature a hologram Frank in the lead role. Eyellusion’s “Dio Returns” world tour with a hologram of Ronnie James Dio is also set to kick off this November.
