After a day of hanging out at Dischord Records with founder Ian Mackaye, Ryan Adams took to the stage for a solo show at Washington, DC’s Lincoln Theatre and anchored his set with a pair tunes from Mackaye’s former band, Fugazi.

Adams worked in the classic “Waiting Room” and “Promises” throughout his 20-song setlist to go along with the debut of a new song, “Was I Wrong.” The singer-songwriter once again previewed additional new tunes in “To Be Without You,” “Haunted House” and “Tightrope” like he did previously at the Capitol Theatre. Both Fugazi covers are solo debuts for Adams.

Additional highlights from the show, that did not feature The Infamous Stringdusters and Nicki Bluhm, included a cover of Sun Kil Moon’s “Glenn Tipton,” which Adams has previously covered solo.
