Lockn’ Festival has announced that Furthur will play their only additional set of 2014 on Friday night of this year’s festival. The band’s lineup will consist of Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Jeff Chimenti, John Kadlecick, Jay Lane and Joe Russo. This special performance by Furthur—who have been on hiatus since January in 2014—will be in addition to the previously confirmed performances by Phil Lesh & Friends and Bob Weir & RatDog. The set will also be this year’s only planned collaboration between Weir and Lesh.

Furthur join a lineup that already includes Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Allman Brothers Band (playing At Fillmore East in its entirety), Phil Lesh & Friends, Bob Weir & RatDog, Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, Wilco, Tedeschi, Trucks Band, Willie Nelson, Gary Clark Jr., Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and more. Many of the above artists are also slated to perform on multiple nights, and Widespread Panic will be joined by Steve Winwood during one of their sets.

As previously reported, the Lockn’ Festival released its initial daily schedules earlier today. That announcement also revealed that The Revivalists, the No BS Brass Band and Freeman (Aaron “Gene Ween” Freeman’s new project) will be at this year’s event. More announcements are expected in the future.

Tickets for the 2014 Lockn’ Festival are currently on sale.
