Over the next six months, Moonalice will release the 30 songs it has recorded in the studio over the past year. The band will offer them in five song bites, via six EPs priced at $5.00 plus shipping. Those who purchase the complete set will receive a special storage box for the collection. Dave Way served as engineer for these sessions and in his honor, the series has been named Dave’s Way. The first EP, Dave’s Way #1, which will be available on January 19, includes versions of “It’s 4:20 Somewhere,” “Turk Street,” “Red Crow,” “American Dream Rag” and “Break Out In Handcuffs.” The band also notes, “The first edition of 1,000 copies of each EP will be specially marked in the hope that some future generation will be fooled into thinking the discs are valuable.” As we’ve previously reported, on June 7 Moonalice will open for U2 at the Oakland Coliseum.
