Derek Trucks Band headlined San Franciscos The Grand Ballroom last night and brought Carlos Santana out for the last few songs of its set. The Bay Area guitarist, who recently confirmed an extended residency in Las Vegas, took the stage for a lengthy segment that climaxed with a choice version of Anyday. Santana also sat in with Trucks Soul Stew Revival at San Franciscos Masonic Center in July. The two guitarists first bonded when Derek Trucks Band opened a stretch of Santana shows in the spring of 2008. Derek Trucks Bands tour will continue this evening at Los Angeles The Wiltern.
